Hi Everyone, Is anyone an expert on the heating system? I have recently moved into Burke House and understand that E-on are contacted to supply our hot water and heat. Our first heat bill from Eon just arrived for our first 45 days and it was £66.79. This is for 2 people living in the flat and with the heating switched off (as it is summer). Does this sound right to everyone? Or do we have a hot water switch on where we shouldn't? Thanks!

Hi esme,
Welcome to the square.
Re. your heat bill, something there is not right. And my guess would be your water is heating constantly rather than on the timer. My wife and I use the timer to heat our water for one hour in the morning and then again for another in the early afternoon, we never run out of hot water, and our summertime bills (when the heating is off and we are just heating water) are around £25. Not every block in the square have the exact same timer control units so another Burke House resident would be the best person to help you should you have any problems checking/setting yours esme, but feel free to give me a shout if none come forward, and I will see if I can help. Good luck.
