GYM AND FITNESS CENTRE TERMS & CONDITIONS OF USE
1. All users use the facility at their own risk
2. You are requested to read and understand the terms & conditions as detailed herein that outline the rules and regulations governing participation in and use of the fitness area and equipment
3. Users who endanger the safety of themselves or other users will be asked to leave
4. Individuals who are about to embark on a fitness programme for the first time should consult their doctor for their clearance and further advice if necessary before any exercise is commenced
5. The management do not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss or damage to personal property
6. Lost property items found on the premises will be kept for a limited time only
7. No one under the age of 16 are permitted to use the facilities
8. Do not use the gym and fitness centre after a heavy meal or when under the influence of alcohol
9. No unruly behaviour or lack of consideration for other users
10. No music other than that played through the televisions
11. No guests/friends are allowed to use the gym
12. No personal trainers or other fitness personnel are permitted entry to run classes or carry out other activities
13. No alcohol is permitted in the gym & fitness centre
14. No glass bottles or glasses
15. Appropriate sportswear clothing should be worn
16. No outdoor shoes/trainers are to be used on the equipment
17. In an emergency, contact a member of staff
18. A warm up of at least 5 minutes and a cool down of 2 minutes is recommended to prevent injury
19. Please read the information/instructions on each piece of equipment and if you are not sure how to use a machine, do not use it
20. To keep yourself hydrated, drink water before, during and after exercise
21. Never attempt to hold your breath during exercise
22. If you suffer from high blood pressure, do not attempt to lift heavy weights and avoid exercises that involve pushing against an immobile object as this raises blood pressure
23. If you are in pain or feeling ill, stop exercising
24. If you are taking medication or have a medical condition, seek medical advice before exercising
25. If you find any of the equipment broken or damaged, please report to the concierge as soon as possible
26. Do not use any broken equipment
27. For the benefit of other users, clean down any equipment you have used with the spray/paper towel provided
28. No free weights or other equipment is permitted to be brought in to the gym space
29. All rules must be adhered to. Any resident found to be breaking the rules risk losing the right to use the gym
30. No pets are permitted entry
31. No smoking is allowed anywhere in the gym or communal areas of Dalston Square
