Hi all,
After 18 months in the Square, it´s about time I register with a local GP ;D
Is it any Doctor and/or Practice you would recommend?
Any you would NOT recommend?
Not sure whether this is the right Sub-Forum for this post, as it´s about a Service and not a Business (well, that´s arguably!) but moderators feel free to move to post to a more appropiate Sub-Forum if that´s the case.

Hi argayu. When I needed to see a doctor for the first time after moving to this area I discovered that the NHS website offers a rather decent online service for finding a GP. You enter your postcode and they throw back a list ordered according to how close you are. Nothing special in that you may think. But, they also allow folk to recommend and or leave comments against each GP: Brilliant! I ran through the list and picked the highest rated within a couple of miles of here (and it was highest by a decent margin too). It was Queensbridge Group Practice, 24 Holly St, E8 3XP. Tel: 020 7254 1101. Since registering with them I have needed their services twice and was really happy both times. And they are only a 5 minute walk from the Square! Hope that helps.

I know I'm a bit late for this, but I cannot recommend the Dalston Practice on Madinah Road. They basically confirm every stereotype one may have about the NHS: inconvenient hours, incredibly old facilities, bad customer service.
I felt I was being processed through a system rather than treated by medical staff. And I never did manage to get an appointment with the GP because apparently a general consultation for no obvious reason is not something they do.
Instead, I saw a nurse who had such a strong accent that I as a foreigner really struggled to understand her. Not that she would have noticed. She was more interested in her paperwork than in me. I definitely won't be back.

Hi, best docs around here is queens bridge group prac on mapledene road, joining up is on thurs and you can do prescription etc online Sent from my iPhone using ProBoards app ADMINS NOTE: To avoid confusion, this is the same practice I recommended about.
